Pampangan interpreting services
When you book, say whether the person comes from Pampanga itself or from Tarlac, where Kapampangan shares the province with Ilocano; someone raised in northern Tarlac may be more at ease in Ilocano than in Kapampangan. Most of our Pampangan work is consecutive, the interpreter speaking after each short turn.
Almost every speaker also knows Tagalog, and conversations drift between the two languages and English without anyone noticing. Agree at the start whether the interpreter may switch into Tagalog when a term has no everyday Kapampangan equivalent. Remote interpreting suits short follow-up appointments well; a first consultation or a meeting with several family members goes better in person.
Face-to-face interpreting
The interpreter comes to you: a hospital ward, a courtroom, a council office, a home visit or a business meeting. It is the best choice when people need to read expressions as well as words, or when the conversation is long or sensitive.
Telephone interpreting
The quickest option to set up. It works well for short calls, triage, appointment reminders and quick checks with a client.
Video interpreting
A Pampangan interpreter joins by video for remote hearings, consultations and meetings, which helps when there is no interpreter near you.
We also provide medical interpreting and conference interpreting.
Certified Pampangan translation
Papers from Pampanga and Tarlac are almost always in English already: PSA certificates, NBI clearances, diplomas and transcripts. What needs translating is personal writing, and there spelling matters. Kapampangan has two living spelling habits, an older one borrowed from Spanish (Capampangan, with c and q) and a newer one using k, so the same word can look quite different in two letters from one family. Our translators read both, and each translates into their native language.
Names cause trouble of another kind. A Philippine middle name is normally the mother's maiden surname, and UK forms tend to treat it as a second forename. Our certified translations reproduce every name in the order and spelling the passport uses, and we point out any mismatch between documents.
- Certified translation of birth, marriage and death certificates, passports, driving licences, degree certificates and bank statements, for the Home Office, courts, universities and employers.
- Legal translation: witness statements, court bundles, contracts and immigration papers.
- Document translation of medical reports, letters, leaflets and patient information.
- Urgent translation when a deadline is close.
- Transcription of Pampangan audio and video recordings, with an English translation if you need one.
English to Pampangan translation
For readers in Britain the real choice is usually between Kapampangan and Tagalog, and Tagalog often wins because more people read it comfortably. If you do want Kapampangan, for a community project or an older reader, we use the modern k spelling that most readers learned at school, in plain sentences. Kulitan, the old native script, is kept alive by enthusiasts but few people read it fluently, so we would not use it for information that has to be understood.
Pampangan court and police interpreters
A Pampangan interpreter may be needed at an employment tribunal, a family court or an immigration hearing as often as in a criminal case. We send Pampangan interpreters who have worked in legal settings before, and we prefer those who hold the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law) or appear on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), wherever such interpreters exist for this language. When no qualified Pampangan interpreter is available, the court may consider Tagalog instead, but it should put that to the witness first rather than assume it will do.
How to book a Pampangan interpreter
- Tell us about the assignment: the date, time and address, or that you need telephone or video; how long it should last; and what it is for, such as a hospital appointment, a hearing or a business meeting.
- Tell us about the speaker: their country or region and, if you know it, their dialect. Mention any preference for a male or female interpreter.

Pampangan interpreter and translator FAQs
How quickly can I book a Pampangan interpreter?
We take bookings 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Telephone and video interpreting are usually the quickest to arrange. For a face-to-face appointment, give us as much notice as you can: same-day cover is often possible, but it depends on where you are and how many Pampangan interpreters work nearby.
How much does a Pampangan interpreter cost?
The price depends on the type of interpreting (face-to-face, telephone or video), how long the appointment lasts, where it is and how much notice you give. We quote before anything is booked, and quotes are free: call 0800 2425 125 or use our online quote form.
Can you certify Pampangan translations for a UK visa or immigration application?
Yes. We translate and certify documents such as birth and marriage certificates, passports and police certificates for visa, settlement and citizenship applications. UK Visas and Immigration asks for each translation to confirm that it is accurate and to show the date and the translator's full name, signature and contact details, so tell us when you order that the document is for an immigration application.
Do you provide Pampangan interpreters for courts, tribunals and police interviews?
Yes. Tell us the setting when you book, for example a Crown Court trial, an immigration tribunal hearing or a police interview under caution, so we can match a Pampangan interpreter with the right legal experience and qualifications.
