Our interpreters and translators work with some of the most sensitive information people share: hospital appointments, family proceedings, police interviews and meetings about children in care. This page explains how we protect that information, and gives public-sector clients the documents they need when they review a supplier.

Our data protection documents
How we protect information
- Every interpreter and translator accepts written confidentiality terms that continue without time limit.
- Linguists receive only the details an assignment needs, and must declare any connection to the people involved.
- Where a client requires it, we assign only linguists with an enhanced DBS check.
- All our websites, portals and the meeting platform use encrypted connections, and documents are held in private storage.
- Sessions on our meeting platform are not recorded unless the client asks in writing.
- We keep personal data only as long as our retention schedule allows, then delete it.
For clients
When we interpret or translate for you, you are the data controller and we act as your processor, on your instructions. We are happy to sign your data processing agreement, complete your supplier questionnaire, or talk your information governance team through our arrangements.
