We help you reach more customers everywhere, and we offer the best localization services in any language.

Localization services

Localization that makes your product feel local, in any language

Translation changes the words. Localization changes everything else that tells a customer the product was not made for them: a date written the American way round, a price in the wrong currency, a form that rejects their postcode, a joke that makes no sense. We take pride in helping world-leading brands increase their global market share, we help you find new ways to reach your customers, and we offer the best localization services in any language.

Whatever your product or industry, once you start selling internationally you will find that translating and localizing it into your customers' language quickly becomes a necessity. We offer a complete language solution, covering everything you need to get localized products and content to market faster, more efficiently and to the quality you require. Speaking your customers' language helps your products and services reach your target audience, and we have the best technology, a geographical advantage, and cultural and language expertise.

What gets localized

  • Text, menus and messages
  • Dates, times and number formats
  • Currencies, prices and tax display
  • Units of measurement
  • Addresses, phone numbers and postcodes
  • Images, colours and symbols
  • Legal and regulatory text
  • Brand voice and marketing copy
  • Help pages and support content

Ready for other languages

Localization goes much faster when the product has been prepared for it: text kept out of the code, Unicode used throughout, layouts that can grow for longer languages and flip for right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew, and dates and numbers formatted by the operating system rather than by hand. Where a product was not built that way, our in-house software engineers work with our linguists on the technical side, so the gaps are dealt with before they turn into bugs in six languages.

How a localization project runs

1. Scope. The markets, languages, content, file formats and deadlines.

2. Terminology and style. A glossary and a short style guide for each language, agreed before translation starts, so the brand sounds the same everywhere.

3. Translation. Native translators, working with translation memory, so text that repeats is translated the same way every time.

4. Review. A second linguist checks the translation against the source and the glossary.

5. Testing in context. The localized website, app or game is checked as users will see it, for truncated text, broken characters, wrong formats and anything that reads oddly on the screen.

6. Updates. New and changed text is localized as your product changes, so every language keeps up with the English.

Localize for the market, not only the language

The Spanish of Spain and the Spanish of Mexico differ in vocabulary and in how people address each other. Brazilian and European Portuguese differ enough to notice in a sentence. Chinese is written in Simplified characters on the mainland and in Traditional characters in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Tell us where your customers are, and the translation will be written for them.

Questions about localization

What is the difference between translation and localization?

Translation turns the text into another language. Localization adapts the whole product, including formats, images, layout and cultural references, so it works for people in a particular market.

Can you work with our file formats?

Yes, including XLIFF, JSON, XML, RESX, PO, strings files and InDesign. We work in your files, so nothing has to be copied and pasted.

How fast can you turn work round?

Our fast-track service and our customer support team, online 24/7, are there for the deadlines that cannot move. Tell us your release date and we will plan backwards from it.
